Legal services in Russia for foreigners
Legal services in Russia for foreigners and foreign companies
UristClub assists foreign citizens, expats and companies with Russian legal matters: court disputes, inheritance, real estate, family cases, contract conflicts, debt recovery, enforcement and document review. Work can start remotely: we review documents, identify deadlines and explain the practical route before a procedural step is taken.
When this page is relevant
The foreign element changes the legal route. A Russian court or authority may require proper identification, translated documents, apostille or consular legalization, proof of authority, service of documents abroad and a clear procedural address. In business disputes, the analysis also includes jurisdiction, governing law, sanctions and currency-control risks.
We do not treat a foreign client as a standard local case. The first step is to separate the Russian procedural issue from the foreign-law issue: which court or authority acts in Russia, which documents are missing, whether the deadline can be restored and what evidence is admissible.

Documents usually needed for a first legal review
For a court matter, send the claim, court order, judgment, appeal documents, notices, enforcement papers and any proof of service. For inheritance or real estate, send title documents, extract from the register, notary papers, death certificate, family-status documents and translations if available. For a business dispute, send the contract, invoices, correspondence, delivery documents, payment trail and any arbitration or jurisdiction clause.
If the document is in another language, the first review can still start from a scan. Procedural filing in Russia usually requires a Russian translation and, depending on the country and document type, apostille or consular legalization.
How we structure the work
We first identify the deadline and the Russian authority or court involved. Then we check the factual basis, evidence, representation route and the cost of each procedural step. If the matter requires foreign-law analysis, we separate it from the Russian-law part and explain what needs to be confirmed by a lawyer or notary in the relevant jurisdiction.
